The in the ear (ITE) hearing aids do not have any tubing or an ear mould to clean, there are no detachable parts, all the components are part of the hearing aid. Each hearing aid will be provided with the full cleaning instructions. In general the hearing aid should be kept dry and cleaned with a dry cloth.
Most of the ITE hearing aids will come with a wax loop tool that will assist you in removing the wax that can build up in the hearing aid. A wax build up may prevent you from hearing properly. Many people find that the use of a special cleaning kit to care for their ITE hearing aid can prolong the life of the aid. The cleaning kit often includes some kind of hearing aid dehumidifier which can be used to absorb any moisture from the aid.
